Networking Evenings

Creative Herts hold monthly Networking Evenings in the TalkBar at the Beales Hotel. In this relaxing environment you have a chance to have a chat over a pint or a coffee with others from all kinds of creative disciplines. You can make new friends and perhaps embark on new collaborations... Creative Herts members can enjoy half price drinks from 6-7pm. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at:

Date & Time Network Event Description 8th Oct 09 Time: 18:00 Being an Exhibit and Observing Art with Steve 'Spike' Brown Throughout the summer sculptor Antony Gormley has been inviting members of the public to occupy the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square as part of a living monument exhibition, entitled ‘One And Other’. It has been running for 24 hours over 100 days since July and one of our Creative Herts members became one of the exhibits. Steve ‘Spike’ Brown from Blue Feather Photography will be speaking at this month’s meeting about his experience on the plinth and the reaction he received to his campaign to promote the rights of photographers. Spike will also be discussing how he gained extensive coverage and promotion through Twitter, Facebook, online forums, photography magazines and the national press, and how this has fuelled his right to protest. Spike has received lots support for his campaign and press coverage about the event – please see the: Telegraph coverage, amateur photographer and the University of Hertfordshire to name but a few.
